Recently, one news is catching everyone’s eyes in social medias specially in Nepalese Communities. The news is Samir Shah, a young boy from Sydney is in hospital who is in serious condition after appendicitis burst as per social media. And an appeal has been made to raise the sufficient funds for Samir for the treatment to meet medical expenses which is good says Social activists Deepa Rai Nepali. According to her,”This reminds me of the cases of Shristy Khanal and Dwijesh and recently of Anxuna Maharzan where we rushed to raise funds when in fact the medical expenses were all paid by the private health insurance.”
People actually need to Investigate about the actual condition of the patient before giving away some funds as it may be misused or over flown of funds. It’s better to not trust blindly and raise the funds without knowing the factual data and information about the patient believing in social medias. This is because we need to understand that all the overseas students’ 90 days of waiting period are fully covered by their overseas health insurance in case of impatient surgery. But, the patient need to bear the expenses of medicine counter and any consultation fees outside hospital.
So, providing moral support for the people who are struggling for their daily livelihood during their bad times is good and helpful, but in the name of getting help from the Nepalese communities, it is not good to get support saying for surgery or medical expenses when the cases is normal.
