It was my immense pleasure to interact with the consulate general of Nepal to Victoria about how Nepalese community is growing and becoming vibrant and dynamic in Australia. It may not be a mistaken notion to assume that the origin of Nepalese community in Australia can be traced back to late 1980. In the early years Nepalese were sporadically scattered, now we can see Nepalese in every nook and cranny in this great country Australia.
It is my wholehearted passion and commitment to meet prominent people of a community to scoop the historical information about the community. I suppose part of the reason for me to have this drive may have been that I was a student of journalism and sociology. I assume, that sociology is making me to research about society and journalism is helping me to understand the facts and figure and in how they should be presented to the public through media-outlets.
It has been several years that I have been constantly engaged in people to people communication and in other forms of communications to get the crux message across. My unfathomable zest for learning the ground reality of situation, place, and people what resulted in the publication of my own novel about Australian Life “In the Pursuit of Utopian Life in Australia”.
Well and truly, people like Chandra Yonjan and Shesh Ghale, is the source of great inspirations and hopes for those who are making Australia their educational and settlement destination. I have a societal intimacy with both legends of Nepalese community. I have been encouraged and motivated by both of them when I presented my abovementioned novel.
Now Melbourne Saptha is another side of my religious homework for the second edition of my Novel. I think this kind of social gathering is playing an instrumental role to reach our identity to the next multicultural- dimensional level in this great nation.
