In the project of Everest United Club of Melbourne, Victoria, the 1st Everest Cup was concluded with a grand success.
In a very glamorous final game, Craigieburn Brigade Sports Club won against Yeti football club by 1 goal with the final goal of 2-1. In the tournament, the fair play award was awarded to Football for Fun and Fitness Club while the best goalkeeper trophy was awarded to Balendra Gurung of Yeti F.C.
Similarly the title of fair play and player of the tournament were grabbed by Ajay Gurung of, Craigieburn Brigade Sports Club.
Total six clubs had participated In the tournament in Melbourne named Everest united Club, Himalayan Football Club, Yeti Football Club, Royal Western Club, Football for Fun and Fitness Victoria, and Craigieburn Brigade Sports Club competed against each other.
Senior social leader, Mr. Jog Limbu, Vice president of NRN Mr. Durga Acharya, Ex-president of NRN Australia Mr. Tonu Gothane, President of Victorian Nepalese Community Association Mr. Sujit Basnet, representatives from other clubs, social leaders, and game lovers along with children had remarkable participation in the tournament.
This tournament was primarily sponsored by Sierra Homes while the secondary sponsors were Victorian Nepalese Cricket Association, ATF Accountants, Dental at hopers, Magic MoMo Café, I Estate Agents, Grace International, Ray White, Yatra the Connection, MK Reality, MaxiMax Education and Migration services and Phone Essentials. The game was broadcasted by ENepal HD.
The tournament was a grand success and the organizers are looking forward to the 2nd Everest Cup soon.
