I was immensely happy and over the moon when I received a thank you letter from the Prime Minister of Australia a few weeks ago. The letter was scribbled down very admiringly and wholeheartedly by attaching importance to how I have been contributing to amulticultural country Australia. As an author living here in Australia, I have an unshakable belief that this country genuinely accommodates the skills and knowledge that anyone brings into this country. This may very well be the crux reason as to why I got an immediate response directly from the Prime Minister of Australia through his letter.
I couldn’t imagine how busy the Prime Minister must have been especially during this pandemic. However, he managed time to respond me. As an immigrant, I felt invited and homily being in this country because my voice is being heard. This is the greatest luxury of freedom being in the democratic country like Australia.
What made me particularly grateful to the Australian Prime Minister is his courtesy and respect for an immigrant like myself here in Australia. Quintessentially, this is how a true leader of any country does play a pivotal role in creating an immaculate image of his or her nation in the global prospective. Shortly after receiving the letter from Scott Morrison, a friend of mine from India said to me, “Look Shiva, be proud of yourself on getting this epoch-making letter from the Prime Minister of Australia.”
Well, I take a great deal of pride in getting the letter for zillions of reasons. Australia welcomes and appreciates your potential no matter which cultural background or country you come from. Initially, I used to think that a Prime Minister of an advanced country like Australia did not have time to ponder over what you do. Well, I was proved dead wrong. The Prime Minister does appreciate your effort if that brings positive change in the country where you live.
I had mentioned to the Prime Minister that I was going to publish a second edition of FalangFood Dictionary, and he responded with constructive feedback and suggestion. His immediate response to me was something that came out of blue. I am extremely delighted by his letter.
Thank you, Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
