One of the proud moment for all Nepalese people as SURAJ SHRESTHA, captain of the United FC Melbourne who has been awarded as the victorian premier league player of the year 2016 scoring 15 goals in the tournment. This Football club has won various trophies in many tournaments under his leadership including recently conducted GNCV League which was also consequently third league winner in a row.
Talking about Suraj, he started playing soccer when he was 6 as his dad and other family members were involved into it. He started his footballing career from Naxal Youth Club. Moreover, he was selected for ANFA Academy and he was listed on 2 batch of ANFA boys. Seeing his talents and ball controlling skills, he was offered to play for Manang Marsyangdi Club (Nepal).
He has been the true diamond of Australian Nepalese footballing community which clarifies his true dedication and sportsmanship towards the game of Football. He is just making the bond between Nepalese and Aussies much more stronger. We, all Nepalese would like to thank him for making our country proud and we all are looking forward for his much more improved and excellent performance soon.
