Melbourne: Nepalese Association of Victoria (NAV) has selected the new leaders for the next 2 years. Though the selection program was scheduled for the upcoming 5th September, the leaders have been finalized as the entire cabinet was unopposed.
NAV has released their communique of leaders, to serve until 2022; Ram Prasad Gurung as President, Prem Raj Upreti, and Mann Maya Gurung as Vice President, Yakindra Prasad Timilsena as Treasurer, and the members Bidur Sharma Gurung, Ganga Acharya, Hemraj Chalise, Krishna Chalise, and Navin Shrestha.
There are about 20,000 Nepalese residing in Victoria, whereas NAV has only selected one thousand members for their organization. NAV has been conducting cooperative programs from the local government level.
